My first Jamberry wraps!
Applying the Jamberry wraps was easier than I expected, especially under the circumstances. I was in a hotel room and had to run down the street to buy a nail file. I used a butter knife as my cuticle pusher. Yeah, yeah, I know. I was improvising. Anyway I used the hotel hair dryer to heat up my wraps and the bar soap provided to clean my nails and away I went.

Jamberry Nails! What took me so long?
I've been doing nails for a very long time. Unofficially since childhood, officially and professionally since 1997. I still maintain my license but no longer "do nails." I have always been into nail art and used to compete professionally. In fact, I won competitions and have even been published in NAILS magazine twice. I also dabbled in making acrylic powders that were pigmented and had a small website at one time. I feel very proud of those accomplishments but could never make a living out of doing nails.
Over the years I became busy with work and neglected my nail art. My supplies are buried in my closet but I always notice other womens' nails and nail art. Skipping those bleak non-nailart years right about to 3 weeks ago when I was shipping at the Old Navy and the cashier had the coolest nails. The were a heather blue with yellow, pink and white flowers and I knew right away they were not hand painted. They stood out because they were so pretty. Like always I said "Hey, I really love your nails. Where did you get them done?" She replied "I did them myself! They are Jamberry Nails!" My response, of course, was "What??!!" My sister was with me and asked me how it was possible I hadn't heard of this awesome nail product. I admit, I haven't had much time to play around with my nails lately so I honestly was not surprised that there was a nail product that I hadn't heard of - sadly I just wish I had known sooner.
That night I spent a couple of hours researching the product and signed up to be a consultant the next morning. I chose my 3 Jamberry nail wraps that would come in my start-up kit and spent the next week reading everything I could about Jamberry. I signed up for every Facebook group that I could find and then packed and left for a 3 week work trip. My start kit was held up at UPS an extra day, so I didn't have it in time for my trip.
So here I sit on the other side of the world with the slowest internet connection known to man, looking at Facebook, Instagram, Google, Pinterest and any other online media related to Jamberry. I am obsessing about all of the possibilities: creating my own designs in NAS, having a different design on every finger, building a business that I intend to have FUN with, etc. My goal is to make this as enjoyable as possible, even if I am my only client. My job has been overly stressful lately and this is my outlet. My upline rep, Maggie, sent me two half sheets in the mail and they arrived the day before I left for my work trip. I actually put them on in a hotel with the hair dryer on March 10th and they are still going strong! I had high hopes for these little colorful delights but they have exceeded my expectations.
